WILBERFORCE and EBENEZER - Riverland Villages
This is a beautiful and peaceful country drive from ebenezer through Wilberforce and on to Ebenezer. There are several interesting stops along the way - you'll find more details listed in our What to Do section.
Leave ebenezer at the roundabout on Bridge Street (intersecting with George Street), cross the bridge and follow the road to Wilberforce (approximately 5.6km). Turf farms claim the land along this route. In Wilberforce, the Indy800 Kart Track is a fun activity for adults and for older kids (12 years minimum age) with the adjoining Butterfly Farm for kids of all ages. There is a kiosk serving snacks and beverages on the premises.
Continue on the Wilberforce Road to the first intersection of King Road. Turn right. Continue on King Road - do not take the ferry route - past residential properties, light industrial buildings and the Ebenezer School (on the left). Only metres thereafter, turn right into Tizzana Road. The road narrows, and civilisation, with only the occasional farmhouse or paddock visible from the road, falls away. You have reached your destination: the countryside of Hawkesbury.
Your next stop - wine tasting at historic wine properties: Jubilee Vineyard Estate and across Tizzana Road, within walking distance, Tizzana Winery Each winery has a bucolic hillside view overlooking vineyards and lily pad ponds. Plan an overnight stay at the five-star Tizzana Winery and B&B in Ebenezer for an idyllic break.
